Title: Warner Bros. Wants to Change the Way You Consume Digital Media
Article by: Christina Warren
Warner Brothers recently released a public beta version of Flixster Collections, a service intends to help fans share and manage their movie and TV collections.
With this platform users can aggregate their movie and TV collections from their iTunes library, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon and Flixster.
The idea behind Flixster Collections is that fans will be able to access their content across all platforms. Other studios are working on something similar called UltraViolet.
Although Flixster Collections is still in the beta stages, it seems very promising. Soon you will be able to access your whole library, whether digital or actual discs, on many different devices and platforms– you can basically carry an entire movie collection anywhere on a mobile device or access it from your home. And of course, they will be incorporating a social media aspect to this application.
