Mr. Dowd discusses the opening of the new Four Roses Bourbon Barrel Loft in Louisville, KY.  The Loft opened on the third floor of Bluegrass Brewing Company.  The relationship between Bluegrass Brewing Company and Four Roses began when Four Roses supplied Bluegrass Brewing Company with Bourbon barrels to age their beers. Bluegrass Brewing Company ages the beer about 2 months in the barrels and the result is a unique and flavorful beer.

Mr. Dowd also makes note of the Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge in downtown Louisville.   It seems that Brewers and Distillers alike are beginning to open bars and lounges with their under their brand name.  For instance, In Williamsburg, Brooklyn you can visit the Brooklyn Brewery and drink at the bar there as well.
