Title: ‘Sports Illustrated’ Goes High-Tech in Search of Younger Readers: Weekly adds new element to college football tour

This season Sports Illustrated and the “Sports Illustrated Heisman Tour” will be visiting 10 high-profile college football games.  In an effort to gain younger readers, they will be trying to entice sports fans with new technology.  For instance, fans will be able to get an RFID (radio frequency identification) bracelet that they can use to connect with their friends on social networks by sending posts and pictures from the event.  They will also be able to check out games powered by “gesture recognition technology.”  Fans can also submit questions they want SI sportscasters to ask players and coaches through SI’s social platform Just Askin’.
